Student Services and the Career Center are here to help you explore your options and prepare for life after high school—whether your plan is college, career training, the military, an apprenticeship, or entering the workforce.

 

You don't have to have your entire future figured out. The important thing is to explore your options, ask questions, stay organized, and take action.

We provide support, but YOU (the student) are responsible for taking action, meeting deadlines, and following through.

Check your school email and your Class of Google Classroom DAILY so you don't miss important information and deadlines.

Financial Aid & FAFSA

The Career Center can provide computers, resources, and general assistance with the FAFSA process. We cannot access your FAFSA account or troubleshoot account-specific issues.

If you receive a message that your Social Security number has already been used, you will need to contact FAFSA directly. We cannot resolve this issue for you.

MHS Local Scholarship Program

The MHS Local Scholarship Application becomes available in December.

Students will receive instructions through a dedicated Google Classroom. The application and all required materials are submitted electronically.

Pay close attention to the requirements and deadlines. If required information or attachments are missing, the application will be considered incomplete and will not be forwarded to the scholarship selection committee.

Scholarship Search

There are many scholarships available beyond the MHS Local Scholarship Program.

Scholarships are posted regularly in your Class of Google Classroom, and you can also use the scholarship search tools below. Don't forget to check the scholarship search feature in Oregon CIS through your Advisory class.

Don't wait for someone to hand you a scholarship, that doesn’t happen. Each scholarship has it’s own set of requirements and there is no magic list.  Search, apply, and keep track of your deadlines. Applying for scholarships takes time, but even smaller awards can add up.
