URGENT: Attention Marshfield High School Community,
Late last night, we received information about a school threat posted on a social media outlet. The threat was brought to the attention of local law enforcement and an immediate investigation ensued. Officers contacted the individual who made the threat. At this time, the investigation has yet to find the threat credible. School administration and law enforcement will continue to work on completing the investigation.
Out of an abundance of caution and to prioritize the safety and well-being of our school community, the Coos Bay Police Department will increase their presence at Marshfield High School today, September 18th.
We encourage all students, parents, and staff members to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or information that could aid in the investigation. By working together and maintaining open lines of communication, we can ensure the continued safety and peace of mind for everyone at Marshfield High School.
