College Related: College admission fee waivers, SAT fee waivers, help with scholarships, help with essays, help choosing a college, trade school, apprenticeship, career and more.
Career Related: Field trips to check out different career options such as geographical information systems, civil engineering, public affairs, OCCI, Nursing, Dental, EMT, Welding, Fire science, Parks and Recreation, Timber careers, and more. Information on salaries and job outlook for various fields and careers. (This varies year to year)
Grade Level Events: Freshman Experience Leadership Conference, Sophomore Success, Juniors 101
Cultural Activities: Eugene Ballet, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Rogue Valley Jet Boats, and more (this varies year to year)
These are just some of the things Talent Search does as part of TRIO! All our services, including trips, are provided free to our students. Trio is a federally funded program with an emphasis on helping low-income students and first generation. First generation in this case specifically means neither parent who lives in the household has a bachelor's degree.
