MHS Students Compete at Rogue Community College in Industrial Skills
Manufacturing teacher Glen Crook had the privilege of taking some of the Manufacturing students to Rogue Community College to compete in their Industrial skills contest. There were over 17 schools and over 200 competitors. They represented Marshfield with a high level of skill and professionalism. All placers received a medal and a certificate as well as received additional prizes based on the event. Welders received auto darkening welding hoods for first place, welding jackets for second, and welding gloves for third. The lathe turning events received a dial caliper and micrometer box set for first and a dial caliper for third. The students ended up bringing home around $1,000 worth of tools and gear that they had won and get to keep for themselves. Please help me in congratulating them for working so hard and representing our school so well regardless if they placed or not. I am very proud of all of them. Please look at the pictures attached to see if you can spot any students that you see on a regular basis. Feel free to ask them about what they had to do.
